I am a huge purveyor of flats. I wear them constantly, and I have a pretty big collection to go with any outfit or mood that I may be in. They're cute, but not so amazing for my feet. I find that wearing flats daily I tend to have more low back pain, more foot pain overall, and discomfort than my old standby sneakers, but I don't have much choice since an ankle injury many years ago prevents me from wearing any sort of "dress" shoes with a heel. In order to alleviate some of the discomfort, I opted to try out the Arch Pain Relief Orthotics.

While they work great in my sneakers (Asics, and I also wear them with Converse low-tops), they don't do so well in flats. They seem to push the arch of my foot up to a point where the top of my foot arches up and out of the top of my flat, and my foot is more apt to fall out.
