I have a 5 month old child that can wear a size 3. The page for this item said that the shoe runs about a half size bigger than typical sizing, so that is pretty important to note when purchasing this shoe. They are a bit big on him, but at least he can grow into them. The great thing about the high-top is that it helps to keep the shoe snug on the foot. The one down side is that these shoes are pretty heavy for a little guy's foot and ankle, so I wouldn't recommend a long day in them. My child seemed to walk around OK in them.
